LG ENV VX9900 RINGTONES

Welcome to the LGENV (VX9900) Ringtone information site. Here you will find information on how to create custom ringtones for your phone. The creation of the .QCP file should be standard for any phone; it's just how you get your ringtone to your phone, which is covered here specifically for the LG ENV VX9900.

The basic steps for creating your custom ringtone are as follows (more detailed info coming soon):

  • Create a 5-30 sec (no more than 30 seconds!!) clip of your audio source (mp3, cd, etc.) using an audio editor.
  • Save this to a .WAV file using 16-bit mono and 8000khz.
  • Convert the .WAV file to a .QCP (qualcomm pure voice file) using a .WAV to .QCP converter.
  • Go to www.vzxpix.com (Verizon Pix Place) and log in with your account.
  • Create a PICTURE message addressed to your Verizon Phone Number. Note: If you do not subscribe to Verizon Picture Messaging, there will be a small cost associated with sending this.
  • When you receive the picture message to your cell phone, open it up and choose the option "save as ringtone". This will then allow you to assign specific numbers to this ringtone. It's that simple, and even better you don't have to pay for your ringtone!

You may need to play around with the sound volume and different converter applications in order to achieve the best sound quality.
